As the design team lead, I was responsible for collaborating with the team units to develop a more efficient way of designing and developing custom landing pages. The main KPIs I was responsible for tracking were hours spend designing a landing page, hours spend developing a landing page, and landing page conversion rates.
The Problem: LaunchBoom creates custom landing pages for clients. Custom designs require custom development. The biggest problem we ran into was a bottleneck of projects during the design and development phase of our process. How can we resolve this bottleneck issue? How can we become more efficient while still producing effective designs for our clients?
The Goal: The goal was to produce landing pages faster, without losing quality. How? By creating more structure throughout the process while sustaining flexibility. Flexibility would allow us to adapt to the needs of each client. If we can improve efficiency and still convert at 15%-20%, then that wold be the indicator that we’re sustaining quality.
The Outcome: Efficiency, check! Quality sustained, check! We were able to save an average of 7.5 hours on every landing page that had to be designed and developed. After launching and tracking several, we stayed consistent with you 15%-20% conversion rate. This was a huge success for the the design team, the development team, and the business as a whole.
